--A Wish Upon A Friend--
A Poetic Psalm of Friendship Embodied by Grace
Today, I share a wish for a cherished friend who is exceptional
and exemplifies the finest human qualities known to men.
It is a privilege to share friendship with someone who embodies
Christlike values such as charity, knowledge, virtue, patience,
and humility, I did not know until you.
This is my sincere wish for you today and always…
May God's guidance always be with you. May His teachings
continue to uplift you and lead you to His truth. Whenever you
seek Him, may you find solace in His response time again.
I pray that all your needs are fulfilled as you patiently wait for Him.
I hope that you have clarity in every step you take, and be ready
to help others you meet along the way. May you show kindness
to those who need your assistance, and overcome any obstacles
in your path that you find to be a resistance.
May you always find the courage to move forward when you
face false accusations and blame. May you find strength when
life becomes mundane. May you be determined to pursue your
God-given goals, while pursuing the uplifting of weary souls.
Our friendship is unique and special in every way. Yet these
words, although expressed in a heartfelt way.
Can not fully convey the act of kindness you display.

You were there when my frowns turned into smiles,
and my tears turned into laughter.
When stumbling blocks became stepping stones
and doubts became a certainty.
You were there when simple choices
turned into regrets and blissful moments
into times of sorrow.
You were there when confusion became
understanding, and disappointment became happiness.
When fear is my courage and weakness my strength.
When lonely hours became comforting hours.
You were there when enemies became friends,
the poor became rich, and having less became more.
When hatred became love, envy turned to goodwill,
receiving to giving, and giving a way of living.
You were there when my darkest hour became
my greatest hour, defeat became my victory.
You were there with me, and in the end,
a new beginning.

“Friend Indeed”
If you ever need a friend, I know of Him.
He that will always be, He that can set you free.
He will keep you in perfect peace and worry-free.
He is compassionate and will suffice your every need.
He that promises life everlasting.
I know a Friend that is exceptional to me.
He is elite, a supreme being; no one else deserves higher esteem.
He is a wise, omnipotent, and confident friend.
For His love for me is guaranteed even throughout all eternity.
He is the greatest among all that I know and see.
I don’t worry or fret because my Friend has never failed me.
My burdens are lighter and my days are brighter because of Him.
He is forever by my side, restoring my steps when I’ve lost stride.
He pulls the heavier loads for me when I am much too weak.
He is a true friend, my silent source of strength.
He encourages patience and faith in that which I seek to succeed.
With Him, I’m able to believe and reach for the things put before me.
He is my greatest friend, and with him, I am complete.
May I recommend Jesus, my Friend, to thee?
He’s the giver of life and much more abundantly.
All you have to do is ask and accept Him as your friend.

You're Leaving Me
Congratulations on your success,
But I must confess, this leaving mess is causing me stress.
Every time I pass your desk I will think of you
I wonder if it’s true and why I feel so sad and blue.
You are leaving me after all these years, and with every day,
It gets harder to hold back these silly tears.
Every time I hear your name, my heart skips a beat,
In the hope that you come back to claim your seat.
There will be moments when I call your name
From over the wall, forgetting that you’re gone,
Your leaving just seems all so wrong.
We had a routine as we rocked the oldies and sang.
Mixing hard work with a little play was our daily thang.
The FM radio will have to do for now, but it won’t equal
To hear you sing. As off-beat as it may have been
The sound didn’t matter; it was coming from a friend.
If you leave me now, I don’t know if I'll say goodbye,
Because I left my hanky home, as I am sure to cry.
But I’ll try to be strong and hold back my tears. Instead,
I’ll focus on all the good you contributed through the years.
Teams are said to be made up of players with “willing hearts”,
But how can that be true without you being apart?
If you insist on leaving, I guess I should say Good Luck,
But I want you to know that you're leaving freaking sucks!
Oh yeah, one more thing you should know,
That missing name on your card from “All of Us” Is mine.
As I simply chose not to sign.

WHAT ARE FRIENDS FOR?
We're friends, what can I say?
My girl and I are good in that way.
We roll tight and protect each other's backs.
If you approach her from the front, she will see you.
If you come from the back, don't worry,
because I've got eyes on you, too.
We don't talk daily, but we learned to cherish every
moment of our "just-because" friend occasions.
I believe our friendship is stronger than most
because we truly live, love, laugh, and play
hard together, which keeps us close.
We are unafraid to stand tall or stand alone.
We offer support in our moments of mistake
and occasionally wrong.
God is the foundation of our friendship
and the greatest treasure we share.
He has brought us together and complemented
us both with hearts that care.
We value each other's unique personalities
and respect our individuality.
Whenever one stumbles, the others offer support.
Our faith in God gives us the strength to stand
together to build an even greater rapport.
In short, we are friends. What more can I say?
If not for the love of God,
Our friendship wouldn't be in place.

How To Get A Treat
Hey! My name is Ski,
and I love to wink my beautiful brown eyes.
I do so because it gets to my mom every time.
Lord help her; she is a goner when I smile.
So, like the mischievous dog that I am,
I set the stage so perfectly.
Now, this is no con, trickery, or deceit.
Its just my way of expressing my love
to get a jerky bacon treat.
My Mommy adores me, and she
enjoy my antics and my specialty.
That is, my sad puppy dog face
and sexy little winks.
Every time I do this routine,
her heart skips a beat.
And off she runs to the kitchen
pantry to fetch me a jerky bacon treat.
I can hear the rustling of the snack bag
clatter, or is it just my tummy rattling?
It doesn't really matter, either way,
I’m not taking any chances.
I bark aloud my demands so she clearly
understands, her smile and my jerky
treats; is all I want in hand.
