Psalms 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Father God, lover of children,
We enter your tabernacle of praise.
For our children this child's request we pray.
Teach them to learn of your kind ways.
To pray for themselves and others each day.
Nurture them, Lord, and keep them safe.
Teach them to honor Your presence as each
morning brings the light of day.
As the sun rises to snuggle their little faces,
let them grow and sprout their wings
in this beautiful earth place.
Teach them to give thanks in every way.
For each success or failure, they may face.
Please help them to imagine, hope, and believe.
Let them run, play, and sing as if tomorrow
were yesterday’s dreams.
Teach them to understand the walk of
humility and to cuddle the strength of faith.
Make them know You, Lord, and
understand Your bounds of mercy and grace.
Instill in them the rewards of obedience.
Help them to savor life's special ingredients.
Lord God, we humbly ask that You claim
each precious soul. Cover them with thy
wings of mercy and never let them go. Amen!

The sound of Joy! A thousand words contained in a frame.
My Little Red Ball went out to sea.
I'm not sure why it left me.
I was playing catch with Tommy, having a good time
bouncing and kicking it around with my feet.
Look at it! swimming at sea without me with that silly grin
on its perfect round face, as if to say; "See ya later kid!
I'm free!" So yes, I admit it, I feel a bit guilty for encouraging
Tommy to give it a swift kick out to sea.
Feeling silly, I just stood there, watched in shock with open
hands, as my Little Red Ball took wings across the beach sand.
My friend looked at me, as I looked at him. We said in unison,
"Don’t look at me, I’m not going in."
I laughed, yelling to Mom, hoping she would fetch it for me.
She yelled back, "No way! I am not going out to the sea,
that's what you get for kicking the ball with your feet.
I took one more glance at my Little Red Ball as the waves
carried it further out to sea. A tinge of sadness washed over me
as I shook my head in disbelief, my Ball no longer needed me.
That wide smile on its surface seemed to mock me, again saying,
"Goodbye, I am free!" There it went, swimming happily at sea.

"The memories that we cherish are the ones we recall vividly." - qeb
Though I may have been born with irregularities.
Perhaps without the mobility of my hands or feet.
My differences don't make me less of a human being.
Am I not God's creativity?
Does not my father's blood run through me?
This I know for sure is that His love is perfectly pure.
Mistakes, He don't make, I am fashion by His grace.
Perhaps you are the norm, and I am the abnormality.
How would you know if God's word doesn't say so?
I am special because He took the time to fashion me
Differently. I am simply amazing from head to feet.
A perfect example of God's compassionate mercy.
I am grateful that He embraced me. The decision
Was God's to make, either to discard or to keep.
He was the potter and I was His clay piece.
Handcrafted as one of His best masterpieces.
I'm a person of beauty, unveiled for all to see.
Why not embrace me?
Perhaps it's all in what you're willing to believe,
And I believe in me. My Father was perfect even as
He hung from a tree. With his blood-stained face
And nailed scarred hands and feet.
I am only an extension of him, why not Embrace Me?

"Practice everyday living life as a child, worry-free with less focus on our needs." Image byEiE
What makes our handsome sons
And beautiful daughters so unique?
Well, I think it's their little, silken, round, chubby cheeks.
Precious little cheeks house a smile that sparks your heart.
A smile that draws you in and bring on the joy of tears.
A glimpse of the future and a peek into their wonder years.
A little bundle of joy with a unique personality.
Without an uttered word, our newborns are very clever.
A pattern they will practice forever.
Radiant eyes like the sunrise that capture your heart.
Chubby little cheeks that offset those little hands and feet.
Made for kissing repeatedly.
Chubby cheeks, how sweet and tasty,
Just one caress of a kiss sets your day for greatness.
Chubby cheeks full of joy and laughter, bursting to be free.
Born out of love, a mixture of Mom and Dad’s blood.
A perfectly crafted gift presented from the heavens above.
I love those them adorably, for they are a part of me.
Round and perfect little cheeks
Flushed with the color of blushing red beets,
Just begging to be tweaked.
As parents
You make a promise to love them always
In that special mother and fathering way.
You vow to support and protect them forever in a day.
You pledge instinctively to keep their sorrows at bay.
Chubby little cheeks,
kiss them goodnight before you lay them down to sleep.
Embrace them and whisper "I love you,”
As they drift off to count little sheep.
